Named after the term coined by W.E.B DUBOIS, this work explores my personal experiences with the colour line. The world imparts great harm to Black women and demands our silence about it - dare to respond and be met with resistance, with performed ignorance, with outright denial.
First performed at York University's upper-year choreographic show "Dance Innovations" on February 1st, 2025, and later remounted for Dance Immersion's BHM Youth Showcase.
